About the algorithm:
P - 137:
Each drawing consists of two overlaying related structures. The first structure is a grid which forms a matrix of squares. The second structure is formed by moving the four sides of each of these squares within its square according to global systematic rules. Different global patterns are created by defining the amount of movement of the sides within each squares.
P-136 left:
Linear transformations of lines of one square over grid of 3x3 squares.
P-136 right:
Linear transformations of lines of a square where the path of transformation is shown, rendering it black.
